2. The key points

• This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics or advertising services.
• Fonts and my own images are hosted on this server – nothing is loaded from Google Fonts or other font services. The exception are the preview images of the YouTube videos (see section 8).
• Spotify players and YouTube videos only load once you click them.
• Enquiries sent through the booking form are only forwarded by email and not stored on the website.

3. Hosting and server logs

The website runs on a server of IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. For every request the web server stores in a log file: your IP address, date and time, the requested address (without appended parameters), the status code, the amount of data transferred and your browser’s identifier. The referring page is not stored.

The purpose is secure and stable operation, for example to detect attacks and errors. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in this (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The logs are deleted automatically after 14 days.

4. Storage in your browser

If you choose a language, your browser remembers this choice (local storage, entry “azada.lang”) so the site appears in your language on your next visit. If you open the link from a press kit email, the browser tab remembers the link code until you have started the download or closed the tab (session storage). Both stay on your device, are not sent to me and are required for the function you asked for (Section 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG). You can delete these entries in your browser settings at any time.

5. Booking enquiries (contact form)

When you send the booking form, I process your details: name, email address, phone number if you provide it, occasion, date, place, sound on site and your message. The server forwards the enquiry by email to contact@azadaflow.com and sends you a confirmation of receipt; the emails are sent through the email service of IONOS. The enquiry is not stored on the website itself. To prevent abuse, the server briefly counts how many enquiries come from an IP address – in memory only, without permanent storage. In technical logs your email address appears only in shortened form (e.g. m***@example.org).

The purpose is to answer your enquiry and, where applicable, to prepare a performance (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). I keep the emails as long as needed to handle your enquiry; if a contract is concluded, the statutory retention periods apply.

6. Press kit and emails from AZADA

On the press kit page you can request the press kit and at the same time sign up for emails from AZADA (new music, releases and performances). For this I store: your email address, the chosen language, the wording and version of your consent, time and IP address of your request and of your confirmation, and the time you unsubscribed, if applicable. You receive an email with a link; your sign-up is only confirmed when you press the download button on the website (double opt-in). The emails are sent through the email service of IONOS. I do not track whether you open emails or click links.

The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time – via the unsubscribe link in every email or by writing to me. This does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal. The stored times and IP addresses serve as proof of your consent (Art. 7(1) in conjunction with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Storage period: unconfirmed requests are deleted after 60 days. While you are subscribed, your data remains stored. After you unsubscribe, I keep the address and the times as proof for no longer than three years; after that they are deleted automatically.

7. Contact by email or phone

If you write to me directly or call me, I process your details to respond to your request (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR). I delete them as soon as they are no longer needed for this and no statutory retention obligations apply.

8. YouTube

On the start and music pages I show the latest videos from my YouTube channel. Your browser loads the preview images directly from YouTube’s servers (i.ytimg.com) when you open these pages; in the process your IP address and technical browser data are transmitted to Google. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in presenting my videos attractively (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

The video itself only loads when you click it – using the privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). From that click on, YouTube processes further data, may use cookies or similar technologies and may recognise you if you are logged in to Google. The legal basis is your consent given by the click (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, Section 25(1) TDDDG).

The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Data may be transferred to Google LLC in the USA; Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. More: policies.google.com/privacy.

9. Spotify

On the music page you can load Spotify players. No connection to Spotify is made until you click “Load Spotify player”. After the click, your browser loads the player from Spotify; your IP address and usage data are transmitted to Spotify, and the player also loads content from further services, among others for error analysis (Sentry by Functional Software, Inc., USA). Spotify may set cookies. The legal basis is your consent given by the click (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, Section 25(1) TDDDG). The provider is Spotify AB, Regeringsgatan 19, 111 53 Stockholm, Sweden. 10. Links to profiles and PayPal

The icons and links to Spotify, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Threads, Facebook and PayPal are plain links. Only when you click them are you taken to the respective provider; from then on, that provider’s privacy policy applies.

11. Encryption

The connection to this website is encrypted with TLS (recognisable by “https://” and the padlock symbol in your browser).

12. Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21). You can withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3)). Just write to contact@azadaflow.com.

You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR), for example the Independent Centre for Privacy Protection Schleswig-Holstein (ULD), Holstenstraße 98, 24103 Kiel, Germany, datenschutzzentrum.de.
